entering my side hustle era

Working full-time as a content creator is the absolute dream job, but since I am not seeing any consistent flow of income yet for either my blog or vlog channel at the moment, I need flexible hours to make this a reality.

HUSTLE HUSTLE HUSTLE

That's been ringing in my head since the end of 2023, and I finally took the leap of faith to work part-time hours in order to pursue other career paths this year.

I first mentioned about this in my March newsletter that I'm starting my dream of working as a solopreneur. Becoming a solopreneur sounds so appealing to someone who struggles to stay at a job for more than one year.

You get to work on your own schedule, set up your own tasks, and you don't need to worry about having a boss or co-workers, because it's all on you, and only you.

getting ready for my new side job

Working full-time as a content creator is the absolute dream job, but since I am not seeing any consistent flow of income yet for either my blog or vlog channel at the moment, I need flexible hours to make this a reality.

I finally understand my personal work flow with my content creation, and the main issue is that I need the extra hours to focus. I've realized that working on content creation after working full-time hours was not it for me.

I know that it's possible for other people who can work full-time and then side hustle afterwards. But in my case, I want to have a social life too, and I can't do both. Sure, it's time management, but I do not have the same discipline as a neurotypical person.

time blindness is a killer for me

So what am I currently exploring in my side hustle era?

I started to take up some babysitting. I did a couple of food deliveries. I started working at a Filipino restaurant again. Trying to start a consulting business for social media. I'm even trying to sell a couple of my old stuff so I can finally declutter.

I have applied to a few other part-time jobs, but I have been selective of which ones I want to work in. I applied to the ones that align with my future self because I have other optional dream goals that I want to achieve. But I'm going to let myself go with the flow right now.

babysitting is def a hard ass job too

It's going to be tough, but I know this is going be exciting for me because it allows me to live life again.

Personally, I think I was much happier when I worked part-time hours than when I started working full-time hours. It's a big adjustment especially when you can't enjoy the same things like you used to before.

Work how you want to work. If you love working in the office with a 9-5, then go for it! But I know there are lots of people like myself, who just wants to do what they're passionate about, and that's totally ok too!

I'm risking a lot of things, but I think it's going to be worth it.
